Tri-Center Trojan Basketball Camp is open to boys entering 3rd through 8th grade in Fall 2017.

Trojan Camp focuses on improving the player’s fundamental skills, making him a better individual and team player. Campers will receive specialized instruction on shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, ball handling, offensive moves, as well as transition execution. Additionally, Trojan Camp prides itself on dedicating an entire hour to fundamental drills every day.

Campers will be divided into teams that play games daily. Randomly selected teams ensure that individuals are playing with a variety of players. Teamwork, hustle, and effort are emphasized throughout games. Each player is guaranteed to play three or four games per day. Players who excel at Trojan camp will be recognized with Awards handed out at the end of the week.

TC to battle St. Albert in MAC Shootout December 16

posted Dec 8, 2016, 8:16 AM by TC Administrator

Tri-Center will play St. Albert at 5:30 in the MAC Shootout on Friday, December 16th.  See below for the complete press release on the 3 day event.

(Council Bluffs, IA) – The 11th annual Jennie Ed Sports Med MAC Shootout will take place Thursday, Dec. 15, Friday, Dec. 16, and Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs.

This unique, 3-day, high school basketball event that began with 8 teams 11 years ago, now hosts 38 regional boys and girls high school teams. It is sponsored by Methodist Jennie Edmundson and co-hosted by the four Council Bluffs high schools and the Mid-America Center.

This year’s Shootout is highlighted by matching up many Iowa versus Nebraska squads, creating a “Border Battle”. Of the 19 scheduled games, 10 will feature IA vs. NE programs, with many highly ranked teams and players from both states showcasing their talents.

“It’s an honor to once again offer area basketball fans an event of this magnitude” said Methodist Jennie Edmundson’s Director of Marketing, Vince Rew. “Rarely can you bring so many teams together at this stage of the season. That’s what makes the Shootout among the Midwest’s best each year. There are many other teams wanting to participate as well. It’s a testament to how much the Shootout has grown in eleven years and the work so many people have put into it.”

The Shootout also offers local teams, big and small, the opportunity to play in one of the premier venues in Iowa, the Mid-America Center.

“Methodist Jennie Edmundson Sports Medicine has provided dozens of southwest Iowa schools and countless community events with athletic training coverage for 30 years” said Jennie President and CEO Steve Baumert. “The Shootout allows us to say thank you to the thousands of players, coaches and communities we have partnered with over the years.”
