Student Council hosted Red Out raises money for the American Heart Association

In hope of bringing awareness to heart health, on Friday, February 2, the Tri-Center Student Council, along with the American Heart Association, hosted a Red Out at the basketball games against Logan-Magnolia.

On what was National Wear Red Day, many fans flooded the stands with red, and both teams showed their support and wore red during their warm-ups. In addition to selling red t-shirts, the Student Council sold wristbands and split-the-pot raffle tickets and also collected donations. Dave Ohlinger was the split-the-pot winner and graciously donated his winnings back to the cause. At the end of the night’s activities, the Student Council was able to donate $585 to the American Heart Association.

The Student Council would like to thank both teams and all the fans for their participation and support in a successful night.

Trojans to battle Panthers in MAC Shootout January 11th

The Tri-Center girls and boys basketball teams will be participating in the 2018 Jennie Ed MAC Shootout at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs

on Thursday, January 11:

Tri-Center girls vs Logan-Magnolia girls at 4:00 p.m.

Tri-Center boys vs Logan-Magnolia boys at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students (good for all 3 days).

Little Trojan Basketball Camp to be held July 12-14

TROJAN GIRLS BASKETBALL CAMP

Date: Monday, June 26 through Thursday, June 29

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Cost: $50

Grades: entering 3rd-8th in the fall

Registration & Fees:

$50- Includes a camp t-shirt. Rates for more than one in a family are available (2 for $80). A non-refundable deposit of $20 should be included with the registration form. The remainder can be paid on Monday, June 26th. Check-in begins at 8:00 at the middle school gym entrance.

Camp Features

Individual skill instruction in the areas of shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, ball handling and individual offensive and defensive play.
Team play in drills and games
Medals will be awarded to acknowledge players who excel in various areas.

Regional pairings released; Trojans to play Wolves February 11th

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released the 2017 Regional Pairings for Class 2A yesterday. Tri-Center will play IKM-Manning at 7:00 PM in Manning on Saturday, February 14th. You can see the complete Region 3 bracket below.

TC to play AHSTW at Wells Fargo Arena January 28th before NBA D-League game

Save the Date! The Tri-Center Trojans will take on the AHSTW Vikings at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Saturday, January 28th. The varsity girls will play at 3:00 p.m. with the varsity boys to follow at 5:00 p.m. The TC pep band, dance team, and cheerleaders will be performing. At 7:00 p.m., the Iowa Energy (NBA D-League) will take on the Northern Arizona Suns.

$8 gets you a ticket to all three games! Tickets will go on sale Monday, January 9th at Tri-Center High School. Tickets may be purchased in the high school or middle school office. Please join us to support our student athletes, cheerleaders, dance team, and band members in Des Moines!
