All Tri-Center Special Olympics athletes advance to State May 23-25

April 9th was a record-setting day for the Tri-Center Special Olympics Team. Every member of the team competing placed first and qualified to go to State in at least one event! Cole Osbahr placed 1st in the 400 meter race and fourth in softball throw. Elijah Bearley placed first in the 800 meter walk and second in softball throw. Kaleigh Gillespie placed first in the 400 meter race and first in softball throw. Joslyn Punteney placed first in the 200 meter race and first in softball throw. Miles Lee placed first in the 100 meter race and first in softball throw. State track & field events, as well as bocce and soccer skills competition, is May 23, 24, and 25 in Ames. The team is coached by Julie Theulen, Cindy Sibert, and Linnea Handbury.
