The Trojans took on the Adair-Casey Bombers in their season opener on December 1. The Trojans raced to a 9-0 lead and never looked back, never trailing in the ball game. Tri-Center lead 13-7 after 1 and extended the lead to 36-19 at half on hot shooting by Devin Heinen. Heinen had 14 first half points and finished with 16. The Trojans came out of halftime and extended their lead to 55-32 after 3 quarters and finished the game winning 66-49. Sam Sorenson led 3 Trojans in double figures with 19 points followed by Heinen with 16, and Derek Nelson with 10. Marcus Mumm came off the bench to score 9 points, Dion Coffey finished with 8, and Nick Schnitker had 4 points to round out the Trojans scoring. Tri-Center goes to Griswold this Friday for their conference opener.
