Tri-Center staff and students are encouraged to wear blue on Friday, September 30th for Tri-Center 3rd grade student, Miles Lee. Miles was born with hydrocephalus. Hydrocephalus is an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the brain. The main job of this fluid is to surround the brain and spinal cord to act as a protective cushion. Hydrocephalus occurs when there is an imbalance between the amount of CSF that is produced and the rate at which it is absorbed. This causes the pressure inside the head to increase. September is Hydrocephalus Awareness Month. Wear your blue tomorrow for Miles! |
