The Girls Varsity Soccer team went toe to toe with the Lynx of Abraham Lincoln at the City field in Council Bluffs on April 14th.  Varsity played short-handed, with nine girls at the district track meet.  AL was quick to score, but the Trojans hung in tough, only allowing one goal in the first half.  The Lynx scored again making the lead 2-0, when Tillie Heim answered back with a long outside shot assisted by Meghan Marsh with approximately five minutes left to play.  The final score was 2-1, but the Trojans fought until the end.

The JV played AL at 6:00, with a majority of the girls have to play both the Varsity game and the JV game.  Megan Marsh was in the goal with some amazing saves.  Tillie Heim scored off a misdirected shot by Hannah Larsen, making the score 1-1.  AL answered back in the second half, putting the Lynx up 2-1.  Heim then dribbled down the field, hit Tobi Brich who finished the drive, tying up the game 2 -2, which was the final score.  The Trojans take on the Lady Reds in Missouri Valley on Monday the 18th at 4:00 PM and Denison at home on Tuesday the 19th at 4:30.  Come support the girls and all their hard work!
