Diabetes is one of the leading causes of disability and death in the United States. One in 11 Americans have diabetes- that is more than 29 million people. And another 86 million adults in the United States are at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes. To raise awareness about diabetes and healthy living, Tri-Center is proudly participating in American Diabetes Month. Students and staff wore blue to show their support on National Diabetes Day, Monday November 14th. The National Honor Society members wanted to do something for the students and adults in our Tri-Center School District that are affected so they organized and participated in wearing blue to show their support. |
