posted Jan 29, 2018, 7:00 AM by TC Administrator
The Iowa College Access Network along with Iowa Western Community College will be sponsoring a FAFSA Ready Iowa event on February 6, 2018, 3:00-5:00 pm.  This event will be held at Fremont Hall Room 145 on the Iowa Western campus in Council Bluffs.  The event is offered free of charge and no appointment is necessary. The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and is the major financial aid application colleges encourage students to complete to apply for financial aid for the next college year.

FAFSA Ready Iowa is an event that allows students or parents to come to a computer lab to complete the FAFSA with expert help available to answer questions and provide needed help.  A FAFSA can be completed at this event for any college and is not limited only to IWCC.

For additional information, you can email ICAN advisor Steve Irvin at sirvin@icansucceed.org or call 877-272-4692.  Additional information is available on the ICAN website at www.icansucceed.org.  It is recommended that students and parents create the Federal Student Aid ID beforehand.  Go to www.icansucceed.org/fsaid for instructions on the FSA ID.  Go to www.icansucceed.org/whattobring for information that will be necessary to complete the FAFSA.

If students and parents cannot attend this event but would still like free assistance, an individual appointment can be set up with ICAN advisor Steve Irvin on the IWCC campus.  Call 877-272-4692 to schedule an appointment or visit www.icansucceed.org and click on Schedule Now.
