Tri-Center High School Art students were honored at an awards ceremony at the Iowa State Historical Building on Saturday, March 7 in downtown Des Moines. Six students received honors with two given the special honor of been selected for the exhibit at the National Art Convention in New Orleans and another being selected as a Sargent Art Award. Congratulations to these students for all of their hard work and efforts his past year. Zach Denning's Baby Face and Hannah Pettit's Dot Painting were selected for exhibit to represent the state of Iowa at the National Art Convention. Only 5 pieces are selected from across the state for this honor. Karly Smith was a Sargent Art Award winner and she and Mrs. Wedemeyer will receive art supplies from Sargent Art. |
