Ohlinger named local winner of Voice of Democracy Patriotic Audio Essay Contest

Marie Ohlinger, Tri-Center Senior, was named the local winner of the Voice of Democracy Patriotic Audio Essay Contest by Harlan VFW Post 941 in December. On January 12, she was named the 2nd place winner at the district meeting hosted in Harlan. Pictured with Ohlinger in the photo is Kim Arnold from Harlan VFW Post 941 and Dick Ryba from Council Bluffs VFW Post 11355 in Council Bluffs. This year's theme for the audio essay was "Why My Vote Matters."
