Ohlinger named to All-State Jazz Band and is John Phillip Sousa Award winner

All-State Jazz Band

Marie Ohlinger was selected as lead alto in the 1A/2A 2019 Iowa All-State Jazz Band which will be held in Des Moines on May 9th. This is Marie's third time being selected to the band, and her second time being selected as lead alto. This caps off Marie's amazing career at Tri-Center!

2019 John Phillip Sousa Award

Marie Ohlinger was selected as this year's John Phillip Sousa Award winner as the outstanding senior band member. Marie has had a fantastic music career which has included being selected to All-State, All-State Jazz Band, Best of Center Award at Solo/Ensemble Contest, and numerous Outstanding Soloist Awards at WIC Jazz, District Jazz, and the Iowa Jazz Championships! Congratulations on all your wonderful achievements and success!
