You may have noticed in the headlines an increase to State Supplemental Aid (SSA) of 2.25% is waiting for the Governors approval. The timing of this increase is over a year past the legal deadline for notification and woefully inadequate when compared to the rising cost of expenses and the increases in state revenues. Please consider contacting your elected officials and encourage them to support funding for Iowa’s public schools. As the spring weather continues to increase encourage the instinct for some is to spend less time studying and more time outside. Encourage your students to combine these things and press hard through the end of the school year. Please email, call or stop by any of the school offices with questions you may have.
