Improvisation Teams prepare for Large Group Speech Saturday, January 20th
The high school improvisation teams practiced and performed scenes with some middle schoolers who have been learning about improvisation themselves today. Chmelka wins VFW Essay Contest

TC to host Red Out February 2nd
Along with the American Heart Association, the Tri-Center Student Council will host a Red Out at the home basketball games on Friday, February 2nd. The girls’ game starts at 6:00 with the boys’ to follow. The Red Out is to raise awareness for heart health, as February 2nd is National Wear Red Day. Fans are encouraged to wear red and come out to support the Trojans as they take on the Logan-Magnolia Panthers. T-shirts are available for sale with all proceeds going to the American Heart Association. An online store will be available Tuesday, January 16th through Wednesday, January 24th. The link to the online store can be found on the Tri-Center Website and Facebook page. At the game, fans may also purchase wristbands and Split-the-Pot raffle tickets, again, with proceeds going to the American Heart Association. Raffle tickets will be $1or 6 for $5, and the winner will be announced during halftime of the boys’ varsity game. The T-C Student Council hopes to see you all there supporting the Trojans, Panthers, and a great cause! |
TC students gain experience and knowledge in healthcare field
Ms. McGee's Health Occupation students are learning the ins and outs of becoming a nurse. This week they were able to observe two surgeries. They learned the roles of a nurse anesthetist, surgery tech, and surgery nurse including pre and post-op nursing. The students taking Medical Terminology successfully completed their class and obtained college credit. Many are pursuing a Nursing or Science career in college. They are off to a great start! |
Tri-Center students receive healthcare experience at Children's Hospital
Tri-Center students Tristen Hughes, Alyssa McDermott and Emma McDonald recently experienced a "Day in the Life" at Children's Hospital. They were able to witness a simulated case study learning about the emergency medicine, nursing, child life, pharmacy and all the rehabilitation services. Thank you Children's Hospital for giving our students an Introduction to Health Careers! |
